Coffee House Lane

This is a story of father and son, Stephen and Mark, who spent some time working in the coffee industry, and tiring of the imported offerings, decided to make their own quality offering locally here in Waterford. And so began the journey of researching roasting equipment and coffee recipes, and so once again green coffee beans were imported into Waterford, once a key port for the import of many foods and drinks, including tea and coffee.
In fact the first cup of coffee to be brewed and sold in Ireland, was in a little laneway just up from those busy Quays of this historic port, now known as Coffee House Lane, and the inspiration for Mark and Stephen’s coffee.
