Food the Waterford Way at #WWFOF19: Demos and Chats at the Festival

Come along to the #WaterfordWay Festival Demo Marquee on Festival Sunday at the West Waterford Festival of Food. We’ll have some lovely food, drink and stories to share with the local people who share their passion and love for our food and drink every day here in Waterford.
Demos and chats and some things to taste all day Sunday from 11 until 4, as part of the Festival Market in Grattan Square, Dungarvan.
Here’s a schedule of events planned – others will pop in along the way
|11:00||Warming up, and an Intro to Food the Waterford Way, along with the Country Store’s own Conor Lannon, Louise Clarke and some other great ambassadors for food, just as we do it down here!!!|
|11:30||Nicola Crowley, Mezze Mezze pop ups, family feasts and now a new Deli – some tips and tales from the Waterford half of this duo!|
|12:00||Shane McGrath sharing his love for Waterford Delighted to have Shane back to show us how he loves to cook all local, the Waterford Way!|
|12:30||Esther Barron, Aoife & Emma, Barrons Bakery & Coffee House share with us a sense of their place in Cappoquin, the old and the new, and how that mix keeps visitors coming back – local and tourist alike. Here’s hoping they bring some goodies along to nibble|
|13:00||MOMO returns. Harry O Neill, Kamila & chef Michael return to Dungarvan hot on the heels of best Customers Service awards to share how they use Seaweed to season our local foods just perfectly.|
|George the Dog and his Chickens, and great organic food – Clotilde Benard of Comeragh Mountain Poultry tells us about her life, what brought her to the Comeragh Mountains and inspired her to begin her organic poultry and vegable farm there, and her plans to let us all come and visit!|
|14:00||Marget Fleming of Dessert Firstbelieves in using simple quality ingredients in her beautiful baking. Today she’ll be looking for some volunteers to show just how simple it is to make some great bakes!|
|14:30||Marie Power, the Sea Gardener, takes some time out from foraging to show us how to use seaweed in everyday cooking.|
|15:00||Harty Oysters Featured: Susan Denn & crew of Interlude share their love of all food Waterford Way, including their fun they’ve been having at the Interlude Oyster Bar.|
|Then Cormac O Dwyer, head brewer of Dungarvan Brewing Company shares some of his inspirations with us, along with his beer of course!
Peter Mulryn of Blackwater Distillery works with Susan Boyle, scientist, to create a very special G&T!
