On this tour you will travel to the pastures of Knockanore at the very west of West Waterford. Here your first stop will be at Eamonn Lonergan’s farm where he makes his Knockanore Farmhouse Cheese. Once you’ve heard from Eamonn and tasted his cheese, you will travel onto a neighbouring farm, where Thomas Balwin makes Baldwin’s Farmhouse Ice Cream, from the milk of his herd.
With this insight to all things dairy completed, you will travel onwards to Ballyduff, to visit the brand new distillery sitting on the banks of the Blackwater river, where Blackwater Distillery have made their new home. Following your tour and some tasting there – you will enjoy a light lunch at their neighbouring café.
The Bus Bia will return you to your original start point at the Shandon Car Park in Dungarvan.
Continue the evening with the Waterford Way Tapas trail – combi tickets for both events are available for the reduced rate of €90.
The Bus Bia runs every Wednesday throughout the autumn, departing from Waterford and Dungarvan on alternate weeks with different producers included in each tour.
