Bus Bia – Meet The Makers

Bus departs from Dungarvan and visits Dungarvan Brewing Company, Comeragh Mountain Farm and Barron’s Bakery.
Hop on a Bus Bia and visit some of the food and drink makers of Waterford. This food trail will bring you to meet the people who make so much local food and drink from beer to gin, blaas and breads, cheese or ice cream there’s whole host of makers right here in Waterford.
On this tour your first stop will be at Dungarvan Brewing Company, to hear the story of how beer is made and taste some of the range of craft beers. From there head for the the open fresh air of the Comeragh Mountains to visit the holistic Comeragh Mountain Farm, whose poultry are guarded by Pyreneese dogs. Your final stop will be in Barrons Bakery in Cappoquin where the oldest scotch brick ovens in Ireland still work their magic and bake bread each day. Lunch featuring a local blaa will be served from the bakery’s adjoining coffee shop.
The Bus Bia will return you to your original start point at the Shandon Car Park in Dungarvan at the start of Waterford Greenway where you will be free to go and enjoy the rest of your day.
Continue the evening with the Waterford Way Tapas trail – combi tickets for both events are available for the reduced rate of €90.
The Bus Bia runs every Wednesday throughout the autumn, departing from Waterford and Dungarvan on alternate weeks with different producers included in each tour.
